Abstract

133 patients after pancreatoduodenal resection for pancreatic cancer were analyzed. There was a statistically significant difference in the survival of patients with gastrostasis with and without postoperative pancreatic fistula. It was also found that there is a statistical difference only when comparing the survival of patients without gastrostasis and patients with gastrostasis + postoperative pancreatic fistula, in contrast to patients with gastrostasis without postoperative pancreatic fistula. Despite the significant difference in overall survival between patients with and without gastrostasis, postoperative gastrostasis cannot be considered as a separate factor that may affect the long-term survival of patients with pancreatic cancer after pancreatoduodenal resection.
