Abstract
The University of Copenhagen (hereinafter referred to as the University) is consistently among the hundred best institutions of higher education in the world, distinguished by a complex multi-level organizational structure. The teams of the university's departments are multidisciplinary teams of leading scientists from different countries. Their approach to the implementation of scientific projects is usually clearly structured and complies with the laws of the country and the European Union. Such scientific projects are usually well-grounded, starting from the epistemological level, tied to well-known scientific theories in the world, the verification of which is based on evidence-based methods and the use of validated research tools. Much attention is paid to the ethical aspects of research. All projects are approved by the University's Ethics Commission. The approval procedure can be lengthy. A characteristic feature of working on scientific projects at the university is a high level of team interaction focused on a common result. The university systematically implements measures to create a favorable psychological climate of work, as well as motivational practices to encourage employees to scientific publications and participate in international scientific events. International communications play an important role, providing an exchange of experience and opening up new prospects for further research. The materials of the article may be useful for researchers who plan to receive research grants at European universities or seek academic cooperation with foreign higher education institutions. The findings are based on personal experience at the University of Copenhagen and allow for a deeper understanding of the peculiarities of the European academic tradition, the functioning of multinational research teams, as well as aspects of academic ethics and organizational culture. The article is written in the form of a short scientific message.
